Creosote Bush
the creosote bush gives off a smell when it is wet. It is AMAZING, fresh and clean and alive and warm.
Very interesting and different! For us to make this one it is going to need a lot more votes than it currently has to beat out other ideas. Send this scent to friends on facebook and twitter and ask people to vote so it can rise to the top!

It smells absolutely gorgeous when you step outside after it rains in the desert. It's kinda sweet and earthy. Really hard to describe, but the one thing I know for sure is that there would be a ton of people buying that scent if it got to my town, and I live somewhere where it grows like crazy!

You could call the candle something like "Texas Rainstorm" or "Desert Rain" to avoid the conflict most people would have with the idea of creosote. I'm sure this would sell like hotcakes if people understood the cleanliness of the scent.

YESSS!!! Anyone who has lived in the desert has enjoyed this scent after a rainstorm. It is the best part about living in the desert. Nothing like driving in the storm and just cracking the windows to let the clean scent invigorate you!!!

I am obsessed with the smell of the creosote bush and have ALWAYS wanted to find a candle with that scent. I've even tried to make one myself, but it wasn't strong enough.

I second the creosote bush idea. It really is the smell of rain (at least in the desert). I haven't smelled a single candle or room spray that matches it.
